A Little About Me
I wasn’t always a healthy eater. My curiosity about nutrition started when I needed more energy to get through gymnastics practice as a kid. I got my hands on a Nutrition 101 textbook (thanks, Aunt Patty!) and went to town with my highlighter. There was just one problem: I was a picky eater. It took me until my 20s to branch out, discover new foods, and learn to genuinely enjoy vegetables and other nutritious foods. I still don’t have the widest palate, but I’ve learned that healthy eating doesn’t have to mean loving every food.
In college, I realized I had another challenge: emotional eating. It wasn’t until Lucy and I began studying mindful eating and behavior change that I found strategies that helped me feel more in control. That experience shaped how I work with clients today. I love helping people understand why they struggle with food and giving them practical tools to make eating feel easier and more peaceful.
I bring what I’ve learned from my own journey, along with my education and experience as a dietitian, to every client I work with. But I also know that what works for me may not work for you. Nutrition and behavior change are complicated, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to listen to your story, understand what’s getting in your way, and help you find practical strategies that fit your life.
