A Little About Me

Healthy living doesn’t have to mean following a perfect diet, reaching a certain number on the scale, or completely overhauling your life. For more than 20 years, I’ve helped individuals and corporate groups find realistic ways to support their health through nutrition, movement, and sustainable behavior change. My experience spans weight management, hormone health, diabetes, heart disease, and healthy aging, with a focus on making nutrition doable, accessible, and affordable. I believe the most meaningful changes come from understanding your health, listening to your body, and finding strategies that work within the life you’re actually living.

My approach is friendly, supportive, and focused on finding solutions that fit your life. At any stage, it’s less about what you “should” do and more about what you can do right now. Whether you’re working on blood sugar, navigating weight changes, or simply wanting to feel your best, my goal is to offer encouragement, medically based nutrition education, and personalized guidance to help you develop healthy habits that support living fully.

Dinner time can be crazy! Read this to see the time and sanity-saving strategies I use to make cooking at home a more feasible task.

Want to work together?

We’d be a great fit if…

You’re ready for support, not another quick fix. You know there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to health and want a dietitian who will listen, meet you where you are, and help you figure out what you can do right now.

You’re navigating changes that come with getting older. You want to support your strength, energy, metabolism, and overall health through the different stages of adulthood, including perimenopause and menopause.

Ready to

  • gain clarity around your personal nutrition needs
  • conquer the barriers that hold you back
  • gain confidence in the kitchen
  • build healthier habits that last?

I love helping you…

  • improve cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
  • balance your blood sugar levels and lower A1c with prediabetes
  • make the most of your GLP-1 medication
  • build a sustainable approach to weight management
  • plan meals that work for your schedule, preferences, and real life
  • fuel your body for workouts, training, and an active lifestyle
  • navigate perimenopause and menopause with nutrition and lifestyle strategies that support your changing needs
  • support healthy aging and your long-term health
  • personalize your macros to support your goals, activity, and lifestyle
  • manage IBS and food sensitivities with an approach that works for you

On a personal note...

I love fashion, home design, and photography. I love being outside in nature and around water, which is where you will find me when I’m not coaching nutrition clients or meal prepping. I love traveling and trying new cuisines with my family, especially in tropical and warm places.

What Working Together Looks Like

We’ll Start With A Clarity Call

Tell me where you are on your wellness journey and where you feel stuck. We’ll see if Well Balanced Nutrition can help! If it seems like a good fit, the next step is to schedule your initial nutrition assessment.

Initial Assessment + Road Map

This meeting is all about you! I’ll ask about your health history, lifestyle, nutrition habits and goals. We’ll work together to map out your personal path to feeling your best and get you moving in the right direction.

Follow Up Coaching

This is truly where the magic happens. We’ll build on your progress, work through speed bumps, and adjust as needed. I’ll provide accountability and practical support to help you make lasting changes.

Have questions before you begin?

We get it.  A free, no-pressure call with Joann gives you space to talk through what you’re looking for, ask questions, and decide what feels like the right next step, without any pressure to become a client.
